Prompt: 066 - Rain. Word Count: 10,548 Rating: On the R edge of PG-13 Summary: The lurid half-world of pachinko is decadent and depraved. Amid despair over international affairs (among other matters,) Nozomu, Jinroku and Matoi go on a savage journey to the heart of the Tokyoite dream. Notes: I guess you could call this "darkfic" on a technicality? But it's at least intended to be funny a fair bit of the time... Anyway, I am so damn proud of it you have no idea. Like everything I write, I'll probably despise it within a week for being a shamelessly self-indulgent wank, but it has several weeks' worth of blood, sweat and tears in it. I set out to write a magical realist jeremiad to modern Tokyo as much as to the series itself. Nevermind that it's a plotless comedy show! It has a lot implications I wanna deconstruct... but whether or not I've pulled that off without being a total trainwreck is for the readers to decide. Fake cuts are links back to sommeille .
